What Markdown syntax is supported?
This tool uses the Marked library which supports the CommonMark specification plus GitHub Flavored Markdown (GFM). That includes headings, bold, italic, links, images, unordered and ordered lists, blockquotes, fenced code blocks, tables, and inline code.
Can I convert plain text (not Markdown) to HTML?
Yes. Plain text is treated as Markdown: blocks separated by a blank line become <p> paragraphs, and bare URLs are turned into links. A single line break inside a paragraph does not become a <br> — leave a blank line between paragraphs, or end a line with two spaces to force a line break.
Is the conversion done on a server?
No. All conversion happens in your browser using the Marked JavaScript library. Your content is never sent to any server.
Can I use the output HTML directly on a website?
Yes. The output is standard HTML that can be embedded in any web page. Any raw HTML in your input is sanitized, so scripts and inline event handlers are stripped. Styling is not included — you will need to apply your own CSS or use a framework like Tailwind or Bootstrap.
What is the difference between the Preview and HTML Code tabs?
The Preview tab renders the HTML in your browser so you can see how it will look. The HTML Code tab shows the raw HTML source code that you can copy and paste into your project.
