Terms of Service

Last updated:

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the LazySEO website, free tools and app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, starting a trial or using the Service, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

1.Who we are & these terms

The Service is provided by:

Operator
LazySEO
Website
lazyseo.io

In these Terms, “LazySEO”, “we” and “us” mean LazySEO; “you” means the person or organisation using the Service. If you accept these Terms on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and “you” means that company.

LazySEO is built for businesses, agencies and professionals. Where you use the Service as a consumer (a person acting outside their trade, business, craft or profession), the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence still apply and nothing in these Terms limits them; clauses marked as applying to consumers explain the main differences.

2.The Service

LazySEO is an AI SEO autopilot. It analyses your website and competitors, researches keywords, builds a content plan, writes articles with images and — if you connect a CMS — publishes them on your schedule. It can also read your Google Search Console data to prioritise topics and track rankings.

We improve the Service continuously and may add, change or remove features. We will not materially reduce the core functionality of a plan you have paid for during the current billing period without telling you in advance.

3.Eligibility & your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
  • Give us accurate information and keep your email address up to date.
  • Keep your password and connected credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account; tell us at support@lazyseo.io if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • One person or organisation per account; don’t share logins or resell access without our written consent.

4.Plans & pricing

LazySEO has one plan, LazySEO Pro, priced at $39 per month or $390 per year per project, and includes up to 30 articles per project per month. You can add more projects; each additional project is billed at the per-project price shown before you confirm. Current prices are on our pricing page.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the then-current price until you cancel. We will give you at least 30 days’ notice by email of any price increase, which applies from your next renewal; you can cancel before it takes effect.

Unused article allowances do not roll over. Plan limits (such as articles per month) may be enforced technically.

5.The $1 trial

$1 today, then $39/month after your 3-day trial unless you cancel. Cancel anytime before the trial ends and you won’t be charged the $39.
  • New customers can start a 3-day trial that includes up to 3 articles. A valid payment card is required.
  • When you start the trial, we charge a one-time, non-recurring $1 activation fee. This is charged immediately, at checkout.
  • At the end of the 3-day trial your subscription automatically converts to the monthly LazySEO Pro plan and your card is charged $39, then every month after that, until you cancel.
  • We email you a reminder about 24 hours before the trial ends.
  • How to cancel the trial: click “Cancel trial” in the trial banner in your dashboard, or manage your subscription in the Stripe customer portal linked from the Billing page. You keep access until the trial ends and you won’t be charged the $39. Articles generated during the trial remain yours.
  • One trial per customer. We may refuse or end trials that appear to be abused (e.g. repeated sign-ups).

6.Payments, taxes & failed payments

  • Payments are processed by Stripe. By paying, you also agree to Stripe’s terms. We don’t store your full card details.
  • Prices are in US dollars. Taxes such as VAT are added where required by law and shown at checkout before you pay. EU business customers outside Romania may provide a valid VAT number so the reverse-charge mechanism applies. You are responsible for any bank or currency-conversion fees.
  • Invoices are available in the Stripe customer portal linked from your Billing page.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it and we’ll notify you. If it still isn’t paid, we may pause article generation and publishing or suspend the subscription until the balance is settled.
  • Changes to the number of projects or billing interval may be prorated as shown at the time of the change.

7.Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from the Billing page (via the Stripe customer portal), or cancel a trial with “Cancel trial” in the dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (or trial); you keep access until then and won’t be charged again. There are no cancellation fees.

Cancelling stops future charges but does not by itself refund charges already made. If you are within 30 days of your first payment, you can ask for your money back under our money-back guarantee.

8.Refunds

30-day money-back guarantee. If LazySEO isn’t right for you, ask within 30 days of your first payment and we’ll refund it in full. You don’t need to give a reason.

What the guarantee covers

  • Your first subscription payment — the first $39 monthly charge (including the one taken automatically when your trial ends) or the first $390 yearly charge — refunded in full if you ask within 30 days of that charge.
  • The $1 trial activation fee — refunded on request within 30 days of paying it, together with your first subscription payment or on its own.
  • The first charge for each additional project slot — the (prorated) amount charged when you add a project slot, refunded in full if you ask within 30 days of that charge.
  • Mistakes on our side — duplicate charges or charges made in error are always refunded, even after 30 days.

How to request a refund

Email support@lazyseo.io from the address on your account (or message us via the in-app chat) within 30 days of the charge and tell us which charge you’d like refunded. Your request is on time if we receive it within the 30 days, even if we process it later. We confirm by email and refund the full amount through Stripe to your original payment method; it usually appears within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

What happens to your account: a refunded subscription is canceled immediately and your account returns to the free (unsubscribed) state, so new articles are no longer generated or published. A refunded project slot is removed from your subscription and you choose which project to archive. Articles already published to your website stay there and remain yours. If you plan to delete your account, request your refund before or when you delete it — deleting the account doesn’t trigger a refund automatically.

Renewals and later charges

  • Outside the 30-day guarantee, payments are non-refundable and we don’t give partial or pro-rata refunds for the rest of a billing period — including when you cancel, remove a project or delete your account mid-period. You can cancel anytime to stop future renewals and keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
  • Yearly plans: the first yearly charge is refundable in full within 30 days. After that there is no pro-rata refund for the unused months; cancel anytime to stop the next yearly renewal, and you keep access until the end of the paid year.

Exceptions

The guarantee does not apply, and we may refuse a refund under it, where:

  • there are signs of abuse or fraud (for example repeated sign-ups or payment with a card that isn’t yours);
  • the account was suspended or terminated because you materially breached these Terms (for example our acceptable use rules); or
  • you have already received a refund under the guarantee — it is available once per customer (person or organisation, including linked accounts), so a later subscription is not covered again.

These exceptions never limit the rights described below or any refund you are entitled to by law.

If we shut down the Service

If we end the Service for everyone, we give you at least 30 days’ notice and refund, pro rata, any prepaid fees for the unused part of your billing period (see Suspension & termination).

Chargebacks

Please contact us at support@lazyseo.io before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer — we can usually sort out billing problems quickly, and a refund reaches you faster than a chargeback. While a dispute is open we may suspend the account concerned.

Consumers in the EU

The guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights, not instead of them. If you are a consumer, your right of withdrawal and the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services apply in full. Within the 30-day window the money-back guarantee gives you a full refund, which is at least as much as you would get by withdrawing. Nothing in this section limits any refund you are entitled to by law.

9.EU right of withdrawal (consumers only)

The Service is intended for business use, and business customers do not have a statutory right of withdrawal.

If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days from the conclusion of a distance contract to withdraw without giving a reason (Directive 2011/83/EU; Romanian GEO 34/2014). Because the Service starts immediately — we begin analysing your site and generating content as soon as you subscribe — you expressly request that performance begins during the withdrawal period when you start a trial or subscription. Accordingly:

  • For digital content that has been fully supplied (e.g. articles already generated and delivered), you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once supply has begun with your consent.
  • For the ongoing service, if you withdraw within 14 days you pay a proportionate amount for what was provided up to the moment you told us.

To withdraw, send a clear statement to support@lazyseo.io within the 14-day period. Within 30 days of your first payment, our money-back guarantee usually gives you more: a full refund.

10.Your content & connected accounts

“Your Content” means the information you provide or connect — your website, business profile, keywords, instructions, uploaded material and data from connected accounts. You keep all rights to it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process and transmit Your Content only as needed to provide and improve the Service for you, and to comply with the law.

Google Search Console

By connecting Google Search Console, you authorise us to read search analytics for the property you select and to submit your sitemap for it. You confirm that you are allowed to grant this access. You can disconnect at any time in the app or in your Google account permissions. Our handling of Google data is described in the Privacy Policy.

Publishing to your CMS

By connecting a CMS or webhook (e.g. WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Shopify, Dev.to, Sanity), you authorise us to create and update posts on your site on your instructions — either when you publish manually, or automatically according to the autopilot schedule and settings you choose (you can require approval before publishing). You are responsible for having the right to connect those accounts and for the configuration you choose. Disconnecting an integration stops future publishing.

You are responsible for Your Content and for making sure it doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights or break the law.

11.AI-generated content

  • Ownership: as between you and us, you own the articles, images and other output the Service generates for you (“Output”). To the extent we hold any rights in the Output, we assign them to you. Output may not be protected by copyright in every country, and similar output may be generated for other users.
  • Accuracy: AI can be wrong. Output may contain inaccurate, outdated, incomplete or unoriginal information, and may unintentionally resemble third-party material.
  • Your responsibility: you are responsible for reviewing Output before it is published and for everything published on your website — including factual claims, legal, medical or financial statements, product claims, disclosures and compliance with the laws and platform rules that apply to you. If you enable auto-publishing, you accept that articles may go live without prior human review.
  • Images may be AI-generated or sourced from stock providers such as Unsplash, subject to those providers’ licences.

13.No guarantee of results

Search rankings, traffic and citations in AI assistants (such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity) depend on many factors outside our control, including search-engine algorithms and competition. We do not guarantee any particular ranking, traffic, AI citation, indexing, lead or revenue outcome. Examples, case studies and estimates on our website are illustrative only.

14.Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
  • create content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving minors, deceptive, or that promotes violence, weapons, illegal drugs or gambling where prohibited;
  • generate spam, doorway pages, misleading medical/financial claims or fake reviews;
  • add websites you don’t own or aren’t authorised to manage;
  • probe, disrupt or overload our systems, bypass usage limits or security, or access the Service by automated means other than the interfaces we provide;
  • reverse engineer the Service or use it to build a competing product; or
  • resell or sublicense the Service without our written agreement.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach this section.

15.Free tools

Our free SEO tools on lazyseo.io/tools are provided free of charge, as is, for your own reasonable use. We may apply rate limits and change or withdraw any tool at any time. You must not scrape, automate or bulk-query the tools, or use them to overload third-party websites. Results are estimates and may be incomplete or inaccurate.

16.Third-party services

The Service relies on and connects to third-party services — for example Google, your CMS, Stripe and AI model providers. Their availability, changes and terms are outside our control, and your use of them is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, but we will try to keep integrations working and tell you about significant changes.

17.Availability & support

We aim to keep the Service available around the clock but don’t promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party outages or events beyond our reasonable control may cause interruptions. Support is provided by email at support@lazyseo.io and via in-app chat on a reasonable-efforts basis.

18.Intellectual property

Apart from Your Content and Output, we (and our licensors) own all rights in the Service — the software, design, brand and documentation. Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your business during your subscription.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.

19.Confidentiality

Each party will keep the other’s non-public information (such as your unpublished content, credentials and business data, or our non-public product information) confidential, use it only for the purposes of these Terms, and protect it with reasonable care. This does not apply to information that is public, already known, independently developed or required to be disclosed by law.

20.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we disclaim implied warranties such as fitness for a particular purpose;
  • we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, traffic, rankings, goodwill or data (other than restoring data from our backups where possible);
  • our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or wilful misconduct (dol) or gross negligence, or consumers’ statutory rights, including legal guarantees of conformity for digital content and services.

21.Indemnity

If you use the Service for business purposes, you will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from Your Content, content you publish, or your breach of these Terms or the law. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you control its defence. This section does not apply to consumers.

22.Suspension & termination

  • You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in Settings → Account or by emailing support@lazyseo.io. Deleting your account cancels your subscription (see Refunds if you are within the money-back window).
  • We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where reasonably possible, if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if required by law. We may also end the Service for everyone with at least 30 days’ notice, refunding any prepaid fees for the unused period.
  • Your data after termination: articles already published to your website stay there. Before you delete your account, you can copy or download your articles (Markdown or HTML) from the dashboard. After deletion, we delete your account data within 30 days (including backups), except records we must keep by law, such as invoices. See the Privacy Policy.
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership of Output, liability, indemnity and governing law) survive.

23.Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. For material changes, we will notify you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before the changes apply; continuing to use the Service after that means you accept them. The “Last updated” date shows the current version.

24.Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Romania. We encourage you to contact us first — most issues can be resolved quickly by email.

Consumers: if you are a consumer resident in the EU, you also benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence and may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. You can also contact the Romanian consumer protection authority (ANPC, anpc.ro) or use its alternative dispute resolution service (SAL).
